Kathleen A. Carey, D.V.M.

Dr. Carey earned her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science at the University of Connecticut in 2012. During that time, she studied abroad in Panama, did research on stranded seal rehabilitation on the Connecticut coast and worked with sustainability groups on campus. She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 from Tufts University, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. There she developed a particular interest in emergency medicine and neurology. She also contributes regularly to wildlife management efforts, working on immunocontraceptive projects with the Humane Society of the United States and Tufts Cednter for Animals and Public Policy. Outside of Berkshire Veterinary Hospital Dr. Carey enjoys functional movement training at the local gym, trail riding, running, cooking and visiting family.
